Polka Dotted room

Long weekend is coming...:)
And our friends are coming to visit Seattle...
And our guest room is..well..its our store room..:P
This is how it looked after cleanup..clean but still bland and boring...as boring as rentals look.

So I thought to spice up the room up...
But, in a rental home there's only few things you can do...Paint..well you have to paint it again when leaving..thats too much work...
I love polka dots be it on dress or on walls..
Ans as I can't paint on my walls I decided to improvise..and improvise I did..
These were my tools ~ painter's tape, fabric and scissor..easy peasy...
I made little circles from the fabric and pasted the painters tape on the back..
and just pasted the circles on wall..
And the best part is I can take them off whenever I want and they won't even leave mark :)...
This is a renter's delight...

 So, what do you think??
Like it??
Lemme know...

I am def gonna use this and the wall of hearts ideas in my house, so next time you visit us don't be surprised to see two of the walls a bit similar to yours ;)...It's not called cheating it's called inspiration :).

My Louboutins!!!

So what do you do when the NFL season starts and all you have on TV is Football, more football and a little Tennis thrown in between..??? Well!!!..you paint nails..simple..:) I love wearing nailpaints..I change it quite often..Hate chipped nailcolors..which make me change it more frequently..:D..Not big on fancy nailarts..the phool-patti designs are simply not for..:P..For me nailart means painted tips, maybe some stripes if m being adventurous..You get it..right?? So when I saw Adele(I soo dig her red lips) wearing a shimmery silver nailpaint with crimson painted on back of nails,I was a gonner. She matched the sparkles of her shoes with her nailpaint, and the back of nailpaint matched the signature Louboutin sole..I think the idea is fun.. Well that was the Grammy Night many ages ago... I totally forgot about that until I was reading about the Louboutin nails.."Painting the back of nails in red" just like the shoes.Well now I don't have that k...

Making Ghee (Clarified Butter) - From Butter

Indian Cuisine use Ghee in nearly every dish from savory Pulao/Biryanis to sweet Mithayis.  Traditionally in India Ghee is made from Cow's milk. Ghee has always been a sacred and celebrated symbol of auspiciousness, nourishment and healing; especially in the daily rituals of cooking and worship. It is thought of free from all impurities, milk residues(Lactose free), and moisture(high shelf life).                                            My mum makes Ghee from full cream that she carefully stores for days.  But here in US we don't cream when we heat the milk . So now I make Ghee at home from Unsalted butter which is quick and easy. I get unsalted butter from Costco...no one can beat Costco for their prices n quality. Ghee is clarified butter. and there is some difference between the two. Here's the process I use the make Ghee. 1. Get Uns...

I'm livin' in a house of love

So today I would like to share a little project I did a couple of days back... I am in love with love...:)..n I love taking photographs..So this project is the combination of two.. So for starters here's one more strip from love is .. series... We have a very narrow gallery wall in front our coat closet. Earlier I wanted to put some frames of our favorite photographs. But with only the frames, the wall looked a little empty. so I came up with the idea of adding something extra. I saw something similar on a blog  n wanted to make one for our home..Here's what I did.. 1. So I started with old newspaper, tissue papers, old printouts, catalogues, magazines, coupon booklet..anything that u fancy works...lotsa them...n a pair of scissors, some glue , threads..cut lotsa hearts the little ones, big ones, skinny ones, fat ones.. 2. Cut them free hand..drawing them takes more time and also its more fun cutting them free hand.. 3. I like...
