As I told in earlier post we went for a stroll to beach on my b'day...saw this group of gurls on pier and clicked the snap... When I was assorting snaps afterward n  saw this snap again, It reminded me of my school days, my school friends...I remained friends with few of them n lost a few in between..haven't talked to the bested of friends in ages..some who I never talked in school became a chat buddies now(yes chat buddies are serious business)..Funny thing!! this friendship... When we were in school we had best friends..Friends Forever.No matter what happened we'll remain friends...hours of endless chatter, gossip, fun, stupid secrets which at tym felt so important... With time, as we get older faces fade, memories and names are forgotten... Howdy people...how was the weekend..?? Well I know its tuesday already...But it was my B'day yesterday..so I took a day off..:D.. Thats one benefit of havin a blog, write whenever I want..:) B'days are fun..always loved em..whether they are mine or we are celebrating someone else's..:) Also B'days in US are more fun..It starts from Indian 12am and ends 11.59 pm Pacific time...2 days of fun.. My sweet hubby worked hard to make it extra special for me..Took me shopping..I coerced him to buy a watch for himself..took me for haircut..got his too..baked my cupcakes, the hot weather ruined the icing, decorated the room with baloons, I saw him decorating..:d..got me icecream cake..:)..He's a sweetheart I tell u..:) My cupcakes with the gooey,melted icing..:(..colored em really bright this tym..:) Celebrated b'day on sunday ~ a day before!!! Its more easy on frens that way...I wore the red kurta that my mum sent me for b'day...Got 2 chickan ka kurtas..

So We went to Ophthalmologist(read eye doctor) today!!! It was my first real eye exam!!!and at 8.30 in morning..well I have nothing to say for that.. Hubby dearest was having his eyes tested so I tagged along with him.. I found it very funny and entertaining.. unlike the dental exams...:D..It went well!!! No specs yet..ALL IS WELL!! The difficult part was living with the dilated pupils for hours..At first when she squirted that yellow liquid and afterwards another one.. everything seemed normal..But when I couldn't even make out the date on my phone, it began to sink in... Imagine no laptop, no phone,no mails, NO FACEBOOK ;)... even cloudy Seattle seemed brighter..Everything was blurred..Even calling up my Maa was difficult as I couldn't make out her name!!!...It definitely took more than 3 hours that my doc said..:P.. n afterwards it wasn't much fun either...So I slept..Sleep is the best remedy to everything.. So my day started at 4 pm today..:D So much for a ey

So why didn't post this one...becoz I thought my hubby accidently deleted the snaps from the memory card..My irritatingly organized hubby(he's one of the most organized guy I have ever known-trust me)..How's that possible..I screamed, cried, yelled "You should have taken the backup!!!"..Well it wasn't that melodramatic...:D..This is more for dramatic effect..I was more concerned that it was back to gud oll Seattle weather n would not get gud photograph..Well with a little post processing it was easy...so much energy wasted in "What should I do now"...Idiotic me..n sorry sweetheart..:) So I found these snaps in my other memory card, which was found under my sofa cushions. First of all THANK YOU so much for the love and appreciation you all showed for my blog and my work. Truly touched..!!! I feel more confident about my new endeavor.. I spent the whole yesterday checking out how many comments and likes I got on FB and on blog..:D... So today I would like to share a little project I did a couple of days back... I am in love with love...:)..n I love taking photographs..So this project is the combination of two.. So for starters here's one more strip from love is .. series... We have a very narrow gallery wall in front our coat closet. Earlier I wanted to put some frames of our favorite photographs. But with only the frames, the wall looked a little empty. so I came up with the idea of adding something extra. I saw something similar on a blog  n wanted to make one for our home..Here's what I did.. 1. So I started with old newspaper,tissue papers, old printouts, catalogues, magazines, coupon booklet..anything that u fancy works...lotsa them...n a pair of scissors, some glue , threads..cut lotsa hearts the little ones, big ones, skinny ones, fat ones.. 2. So apparently the weather Gods have been reading my blog... :D..if not anyone else...;) I was earlier cribbing about how sunny, bright, hot it was..and lo...It was cloudy, overcast and windy all weekend!!! Well if it was in Seattle, and we were @ home, would have loved it!! but hubby and I planned a quick getaway to San Juan Island!!! n there it was the much awaited clouds :D... Our last few trips have been with friends so this trip was a welcome change. The island does grows up on you...It was so beautiful even with the overcast weather. I can imagine how pretty it would look with sun out. We got a glimpse of it on the second day of our trip @ Orca Island. You just can't beat nature!!! Feel as if u just want to be there for eternity soaking up all the beauty it has to offer... A little tired today..Here'

I am a sun loving girl...I grew up in India after all...:) When there is no sun, it's cloudy, it rain or snows I become restless, I kinda get in a foul mood..I need my vitamin D..No sun around affects me in a bad way...:D Before moving to Seattle I was quite skeptical...9 months of rain..sounded ominous.. But Seattle proved otherwise...yessh..there are days when its cloudy, it drizzles ~ most of days are..but then there are days when there is sun...One start to appreciate sun more at these times... So now, in place of rain and drizzle there's SUN!!!  so bright and sunny , a giant ball of fire...doesn't feel like Seattle, at all!! Its nice and cheerful, seems like every1 is out to enjoy the last few days of sun...then it will be fall... Bring on the lemonades..I can hear children playing in pool all day..barbecues and picnics are in full go..we have hiking and camping trips planned of every other weekend..there's some kinda energy in atmosphere...just buzz

So I was writing today's blog when I came across Sridevi's new movie "English Vinglish". She's coming back to movies after a long hiatus. This and her recent appearence for the First look for the movie got me thinking that at nearly 50(celebrated her 49th birthday yesterday), she still looks stunning.So scratched all that I had written earlier n started new again. how can you resist it,when you have cream roll in front of you :).. I can't...;) I remember when I was young, we used to live in Jabalpur. There was a bakery in Sadar, which also was on our way to our school. We used to have cream rolls and doughnuts there.Not the fancy ones which we have nowadays.Just the old fashioned with cream. It wasn't a regular affair but whenever we could me n broi loved that... After many years I came across cream rolls in Walmart. Of all d bakeries in world, I found em in Walmart aisle..:D.. The melt in your mouth, fluffy cream, sugar sprinkled feathery roll was enough for me to rekindle the romance...sigh...!!!

so I slept.. Yesterday, I got up at 8,bid hubby adieu, had my breakfast and then went back to bed at 10..:D.. Today got up at 9...n its not weekend... I have figured out that I should sleep by 12..If it gets late..my mornings are screwed...n the alarm clocks too are not helpful at all..I get cranky when they go off...really do..I can get up without d alarm but if goes off before I get up I get up in nasty mood..last only for few mins but who wants to get up like that...I love weekends, not only for the fun they bring but also there are no alarm clock ringing in morning..:D Earlier I could sleep at any ungodly hour n still could get up by 7.30 now..:P..guess m getting old.. naah...m not getting old, just getting wiser..:p..Well I do have ab'day coming up this month..:D...another year wiser...well they say "today is the oldest you can get and the youngest you can ever be again"...so true.. So I completed my table runner. Earlier we thought of having a burlap tabl
