LFW 2012 (Day 1 - Day 3)

So back to reality after rejuvenating weekend :)..
It was a fun trip, lil tiring although...with sleep of 2.5hrs and getting up @ 3.30am..emmm..lemme say I won't be getting up early for a long, long tym..:D
But getting  up early does has it own virtues, u get to see nature at its best...will post some snaps soon..
So Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2012 is in full swing  ended today...This year there was lot of emphasis on Indian Textile. The designers came up with some stunning designs. If we don't keep on reinventing, it wouldn't be long when the textiles like Chanderi, Ikat would become a lost art. Indian textiles are so vibrant and versatile.love emm..
Here are few of my favs from the shows for Day1 To Day 3.

My Louboutins!!!

So what do you do when the NFL season starts and all you have on TV is Football, more football and a little Tennis thrown in between..??? Well!!!..you paint nails..simple..:) I love wearing nailpaints..I change it quite often..Hate chipped nailcolors..which make me change it more frequently..:D..Not big on fancy nailarts..the phool-patti designs are simply not for..:P..For me nailart means painted tips, maybe some stripes if m being adventurous..You get it..right?? So when I saw Adele(I soo dig her red lips) wearing a shimmery silver nailpaint with crimson painted on back of nails,I was a gonner. She matched the sparkles of her shoes with her nailpaint, and the back of nailpaint matched the signature Louboutin sole..I think the idea is fun.. Well that was the Grammy Night many ages ago... I totally forgot about that until I was reading about the Louboutin nails.."Painting the back of nails in red" just like the shoes.Well now I don't have that k...

So for starters here's one more strip from love is .. series... We have a very narrow gallery wall in front our coat closet. Earlier I wanted to put some frames of our favorite photographs. But with only the frames, the wall looked a little empty. so I came up with the idea of adding something extra. I saw something similar on a blog  n wanted to make one for our home..Here's what I did.. 1. So I started with old newspaper, tissue papers, old printouts, catalogues, magazines, coupon booklet..anything that u fancy works...lotsa them...n a pair of scissors, some glue , threads..cut lotsa hearts the little ones, big ones, skinny ones, fat ones.. 2. Cut them free hand..drawing them takes more time and also its more fun cutting them free hand.. 3. I like...

Making Ghee (Clarified Butter) - From Butter

Indian Cuisine use Ghee in nearly every dish from savory Pulao/Biryanis to sweet Mithayis.  Traditionally in India Ghee is made from Cow's milk. Ghee has always been a sacred and celebrated symbol of auspiciousness, nourishment and healing; especially in the daily rituals of cooking and worship. It is thought of free from all impurities, milk residues(Lactose free), and moisture(high shelf life).                                            My mum makes Ghee from full cream that she carefully stores for days.  But here in US we don't cream when we heat the milk . So now I make Ghee at home from Unsalted butter which is quick and easy. I get unsalted butter from Costco...no one can beat Costco for their prices n quality. Ghee is clarified butter. and there is some difference between the two. Here's the process I use the make Ghee. 1. Get Uns...
