Friends and Friendship!!!

As I told in earlier post we went for a stroll to beach on my b'day...saw this group of gurls on pier and clicked the snap...
When I was assorting snaps afterward n  saw this snap again, It reminded me of my school days, my school friends...I remained friends with few of them n lost a few in between..haven't talked to the bested of friends in ages..some who I never talked in school became a chat buddies now(yes chat buddies are serious business)..Funny thing!! this friendship...
When we were in school we had best friends..Friends Forever. No matter what happened we'll remain friends...hours of endless chatter, gossip, fun, stupid secrets which at tym felt so important...

With time, as we get older faces fade, memories and names are forgotten...
Dynamics of friendship changes with time, situation and place...Life affects friendships ~ we get married, have children, move to different city, other country, get new job, loose a job, join some new course for further studies..
It needs to evolve with all of these..You cannot assume it will remain the same..You cannot remain sad and bitter at lost of one..there's always reason behind it...You keep adding friends to your friends list on FB...some remain acquaintance and some acquaintances become best friends...
I believe I have been blessed with wonderful friends ~ from a wicked brother(my first friend) to my mum(all tym favorite one) to school friends(we still chat n gossip like oll times) to college/work friends to relatives(sisters n sister-in-laws) to my husband's friends(who hv become mine too) to neighbors(cum friends) to  my newest best friend (my husband - my 2 am friend)...best friend now sounds sooo cheesy..:D..These are the ones who have been present with me through the time @ different phases...n will be there for me whenever I need them, no questions asked...
Every friendship no matter how fleeting it was adds depth and color to our life..We are made up of all the influences around us, friendship being most important..Some leave a deep impact, some become fond memories..
So to memories and friendship...

All those who know our kiddo, knows how crazy he's about HORSES!!! So in spirit of fueling his imagination I enrolled him in My Little Pony Class held by Redmond  Parks and Recreation. The class was held at Farrel McWhirter Farm. You can enroll for the class through their website  http://www.redmond.gov/ParksRecreation  and  http://www.redmond.gov/ParksRecreation/farrel-mcwhirter_farm_park_programs/ Our class was scheduled for 9.30 am and we got there much earlier. There were cows, pigs, bunnies, sheep, chickens n new little goat babies :)...                                                          This was our pony....aaaa..I forgot her name...:|  There were only two kids in the class. They were first told about horses and the brushes n tools used to keep them clean. They were then fitted with hel

Making Ghee (Clarified Butter) - From Butter

Indian Cuisine use Ghee in nearly every dish from savory Pulao/Biryanis to sweet Mithayis.  Traditionally in India Ghee is made from Cow's milk. Ghee has always been a sacred and celebrated symbol of auspiciousness, nourishment and healing; especially in the daily rituals of cooking and worship. It is thought of free from all impurities, milk residues(Lactose free), and moisture(high shelf life).                                            My mum makes Ghee from full cream that she carefully stores for days.  But here in US we don't cream when we heat the milk . So now I make Ghee at home from Unsalted butter which is quick and easy. I get unsalted butter from Costco...no one can beat Costco for their prices n quality. Ghee is clarified butter. and there is some difference between the two. Here's the process I use the make Ghee. 1. Get Unsalted Butter bricks. Use as many sticks you want to use at one time. I usually use 8- 12 sticks at one time
