I just wanna go to Sleep

so I slept..
Yesterday, I got up at 8,bid hubby adieu, had my breakfast and then went back to bed at 10..:D..
Today got up at 9...n its not weekend...
I have figured out that I should sleep by 12..If it gets late..my mornings are screwed...n the alarm clocks too are not helpful at all..I get cranky when they go off...really do..I can get up without d alarm but if goes off before I get up I get up in nasty mood..last only for few mins but who wants to get up like that...I love weekends, not only for the fun they bring but also there are no alarm clock ringing in morning..:D

Earlier I could sleep at any ungodly hour n still could get up by 7.30 now..:P..guess m getting old..
naah...m not getting old, just getting wiser..:p..Well I do have ab'day coming up this month..:D...another year wiser...well they say "today is the oldest you can get and the youngest you can ever be again"...so true..

So I completed my table runner. Earlier we thought of having a burlap table runner. But then we found this white burlap like fabric, very soft. We went for it...
 My fabric

Essentials for making a table - runner(Nutella included)

If you pull out one thread in burlap, it gives you a straight line

The perforated line is great design aspect as well as can be used as marking
for cutting or embroidery

The final result(ignore the creases..;))

Earlier I decided to just go plain but then hubby wanted some color, so I embroidered it with turquoise thread using chain stitch..M still not satisfied with this, its a work in progress, but at least I can start using it..

Well, thats it for today..
See ya later..
YAY!! for Saturday where there are no alarm clocks ringing..:)

My Little Pony - Day spent at Farrel McWhirter Farm

All those who know our kiddo, knows how crazy he's about HORSES!!! So in spirit of fueling his imagination I enrolled him in My Little Pony Class held by Redmond  Parks and Recreation. The class was held at Farrel McWhirter Farm. You can enroll for the class through their website  http://www.redmond.gov/ParksRecreation  and  http://www.redmond.gov/ParksRecreation/farrel-mcwhirter_farm_park_programs/ Our class was scheduled for 9.30 am and we got there much earlier. It helped the Cowboy to get settled in and check out the animals.  He came all dressed up in a cowboy hat(from his halloween costume). There were cows, pigs, bunnies, sheep, chickens n new little goat babies :)...                                                          This was our pony....aaaa..I forgot her name...:|  There were only two kids in the class. They were first told about horses and the brushes n tools used to keep them clean. They were then fitted with hel

Making Ghee (Clarified Butter) - From Butter

Indian Cuisine use Ghee in nearly every dish from savory Pulao/Biryanis to sweet Mithayis.  Traditionally in India Ghee is made from Cow's milk. Ghee has always been a sacred and celebrated symbol of auspiciousness, nourishment and healing; especially in the daily rituals of cooking and worship. It is thought of free from all impurities, milk residues(Lactose free), and moisture(high shelf life).                                            My mum makes Ghee from full cream that she carefully stores for days.  But here in US we don't cream when we heat the milk . So now I make Ghee at home from Unsalted butter which is quick and easy. I get unsalted butter from Costco...no one can beat Costco for their prices n quality. Ghee is clarified butter. and there is some difference between the two. Here's the process I use the make Ghee. 1. Get Unsalted Butter bricks. Use as many sticks you want to use at one time. I usually use 8- 12 sticks at one time
