Here comes the SUN!!!

I am a sun loving girl...I grew up in India after all...:)
When there is no sun, it's cloudy, it rain or snows I become restless, I kinda get in a foul mood..I need my vitamin D..No sun around affects me in a bad way...:D
Before moving to Seattle I was quite skeptical...9 months of rain..sounded ominous..
But Seattle proved otherwise...yessh..there are days when its cloudy, it drizzles ~ most of days are..but then there are days when there is sun...One start to appreciate sun more at these times...
So now, in place of rain and drizzle there's SUN!!!
so bright and sunny , a giant ball of fire...doesn't feel like Seattle, at all!!
Its nice and cheerful, seems like every1 is out to enjoy the last few days of sun...then it will be fall...
Bring on the lemonades..I can hear children playing in pool all day..barbecues and picnics are in full go..we have hiking and camping trips planned of every other weekend..there's some kinda energy in atmosphere...just buzzing with life..Summer times are sooo busy...
It touched 90 F this week. With my little pedestal fan in tow I secretly wished for a little drizzle...I know these days of sun are numbered but, a little rain just a little would be more than welcome..After that I'll start wishing for sun again...:D

And I say it's all right
Here come the sun, here comes the sun
It's all right, it's all right”

My Little Pony - Day spent at Farrel McWhirter Farm

All those who know our kiddo, knows how crazy he's about HORSES!!! So in spirit of fueling his imagination I enrolled him in My Little Pony Class held by Redmond  Parks and Recreation. The class was held at Farrel McWhirter Farm. You can enroll for the class through their website  http://www.redmond.gov/ParksRecreation  and  http://www.redmond.gov/ParksRecreation/farrel-mcwhirter_farm_park_programs/ Our class was scheduled for 9.30 am and we got there much earlier. It helped the Cowboy to get settled in and check out the animals.  He came all dressed up in a cowboy hat(from his halloween costume). There were cows, pigs, bunnies, sheep, chickens n new little goat babies :)...                                                          This was our pony....aaaa..I forgot her name....

Making Ghee (Clarified Butter) - From Butter

Indian Cuisine use Ghee in nearly every dish from savory Pulao/Biryanis to sweet Mithayis.  Traditionally in India Ghee is made from Cow's milk. Ghee has always been a sacred and celebrated symbol of auspiciousness, nourishment and healing; especially in the daily rituals of cooking and worship. It is thought of free from all impurities, milk residues(Lactose free), and moisture(high shelf life).                                            My mum makes Ghee from full cream that she carefully stores for days.  But here in US we don't cream when we heat the milk . So now I make Ghee at home from Unsalted butter which is quick and easy. I get unsalted butter from Costco...no one can beat Costco for their prices n quality. Ghee is clarified butter. and there is some difference between the two. Here's the process I use the make Ghee. 1. Get Uns...

But with only the frames, the wall looked a little empty. so I came up with the idea of adding something extra. I saw something similar on a blog  n wanted to make one for our home..Here's what I did.. 1. So I started with old newspaper, tissue papers, old printouts, catalogues, magazines, coupon booklet..anything that u fancy works...lotsa them...n a pair of scissors, some glue , threads..cut lotsa hearts the little ones, big ones, skinny ones, fat ones.. 2. Cut them free hand..drawing them takes more time and also its more fun cutting them free hand.. 3. I like...
